Welcome back from Spring Break GBC! Tis’ the season of pollen and late-semester procrastination, but come sniffles or snoozes the GBC External Affairs Newsletter will go on! In recognition of Earth Day we are going to start off this month’s newsletter with some climate policy news. Related to climate change, be sure to check out the Brookings webinar on modernizing infrastructure– a must-see for anyone wanting to get informed on the subject of President Biden’s newest plan. Summit: The White House, “Leaders Summit on Climate” 

President Biden has invited the heads of state of 40 countries, including the members of the U.S.-led Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate, to a virtual summit for Earth Day on April 22 and 23, 2021. The summit will be live streamed for public viewing, so be sure to tune in to hear the leaders’ of major world powers plans to curb emissions and promote climate innovation.
